MODEC held Sailing Ceremony of ANITA GARIBALDI MV33 FPSO

On 1^st Sep., 2022, MODEC & DSIC jointly held a delivery ceremony for the refitted ANITA GARIBALDI MV33 FPSO. Due to the impact of the epidemic, the delivery ceremony was broadcast live in multiple venues. Mr. Ide, CEO and Mr. Eric, COO of MODEC Singapore, both attended the ceremony online. Mr. Rafael, the representative of Petrobras, and Teoh Teik Khai, project manager of MODEC MV33，leaders of DSIC Group Yang Zhizhong, Ding Yi and representatives of all parties involved in the project attended the ceremony in Changxing island of DSIC , where the project was constructed. Mr. Kanamori, CEO of MODEC Group Corporation, and COO Mr. Imaizumi also sent video speeches and greetings.

The FPSO contract was signed in 2019. The marine, living building and part of the topside modules were constructed by DSIC Changxing Island Shipyard, and the chemical injection skid blocks and process modules were constructed by Tianjin Bomesc.

It is worth mentioning that the construction parties of the project overcame the impact of the epidemic and broke the record of completing the transportation and hoisting of 18 topside modules in just 64 days.

TimEast (Tianjin TimEast Sub-Sea pipeline testing and service limited), as one of the MODEC contractors, was invited to participate in this ceremony. TimEast is mainly responsible for the flange torque and tenshion inspection of the marine part of MV33 FPSO at Dalian DSIC site . As of today, there‘re  total of 16,807 flange joints have been completed. TimEast spare no effort on cooperating with the project of the MV33 FPSO during the entire construction and commissioning process, and ensured the overall project progress and quality of the MV33 FPSO as scheduled. With its excellent technical services, TimEast has been recognized by the owner and the client.

The ANITA GARIBALDI MV33 FPSO is planed to sail to Brazil on September 20th, and will be deployed in the Marlim oilfield in the Campos Basin, where it will operate continuously for 25 years in waters with an operating water depth of 670m. Its designed crude oil processing capacity is 80,000 barrels per day, natural gas processing capacity is 24.8 billion cubic feet, and water injection capacity is 390,000 barrels per day. It adopts multi-point mooring method and is scheduled to start production in 2023.
